Thornton is nestled between the Great Dividing Range and Little Liverpool Range, approximately 12km past Mulgowie.

The area boasts magnificent views of the surrounding ranges and is a tranquil environment to relax and hide away. Stay on the banks of Laidley Creek at the pet friendly Centenary Park Camping Ground. Bookings are essential, pay for the first night and get the next night free. Take a picnic to Crosby Park, situated at the road end and let the dog splash about in the clear flowing creek.
Thornton is also home to our very own award winning Lavendar Farm - Holmwood Produce, tours available.
Follow the Laidley Valley Tourist Drive to Thornton and take in the gorgeous mountain backdrop and views of Mt Castle.
