Art devotees will thoroughly appreciate visiting the Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre. The foyer of the cultural centre features an all-encompassing mural of the Lockyer Valley crafted by Wayne Smith. The painted images represent the changes in farming and machinery of the Lockyer Valley Region. Whilst in the foyer, take an opportunity to reflect your glaze upwards and acknowledge the architecture of the Lockyer Valley Culture Centre. The corridor is lined with skylights to filter the amazing sunlight into our featured displays.

The centre also consists of the stunning Lockyer Valley Art Gallery where local emerging artists can be discovered. The gallery has 56 linear metres of fixed-wall display space with exhibits changing monthly; entry is free and most exhibits are for sale. The art gallery also boasts a permanent display in the Davson Gallery of art work from renowned artist Sharon Davson, daughter of Lockyer Valley art legend Win Davson.

The Lockyer Legends Hall of fame and our local ANZAC Legends feature portraits are also not to be missed; these displays were created by award winning photographer Robyn Hills. Each portrait has a remarkable story; so spend some time learning about our Lockyer Legends.

Helidon Sandstone sculptures can be viewed alfresco at the entry to the main carpark of the Lockyer valley Cultural Centre; these sculptures characterize iconic Lockyer Valley produce.

To complete your self-guided tour of the Lake Apex precinct, take a walk around Lake Apex to view the four metal art work installations depicting the local bird life.

There is also some amazing art around the region to see, there are many statues and monuments located all over the valley. Please see the Visitor Information Centre for a map to assist you on your tour.
