Doug & Tracey Goebel from Native Oz Bushfoods, an Aboriginal family-owned and operated business, farm, and retail a range of Australian native Bushfood products.

Doug is a proud Bundjalung man, his ancestor coming from the North-eastern NSW.

Drought hit them hard in 2018 causing them to push all their stock from the farm and turn the property into some form of sustainable living as well as return the eco system back to the land in once was. Having no water for Irrigation, the love for native foods there was only one way to go. So, the couple started planting Native Bushfood trees on their 40-acre property, and then 2019 launching their retail range with 3 products. Native Oz Bushfoods now has over a dozen hand crafted gourmet blends in the range. Such as jams, salt blends and sauces, Ingredients used have either been grown on farm or been sustainability sourced from regional Aboriginal Communities around Australia.

Currently their native food orchard has around 450 trees, main crops are Old Man’s Saltbush, various edible wattles, Native Tamarind, as recent rains caused a lot of their desert trees to die off. They also host over 40 different varieties of edible natives in their educational garden. That they are opening for you to enjoy

Cancellation Policy

BY CONFIRMING YOUR TOUR BOOKING YOU AGREE TO: Have read all terms and conditions stated below and agree to them in full, if not please contact us and cancel your booking. Follow all instructions and authority given by your tour operator whilst on the premises, both in an emergency and in general. Stay with your tour group and host, you will not wonder the grounds unattended unless given permission by your tours host. NO PLANT MATTER, CUTIINGS OR SEEDS ARE TO BE REMOVED FROM THE PREMESIS FOR ANY REASON, UNLESS PERMISSION IS GIVEN PRIOR PLEASE NOTE We DO NOT take responsibility for any injuries that occur due to reckless behaviour or not following instruction whilst on a tour. If a medical episode or injury may occur we recommend the customer or visitor take out the appropriate medical insurance, failure to do so will be at the customer or visitor’s own expense. Native Oz Bushfoods is NOT responsible for any medical services or vehicles required whilst on tour. Staff are trained with minimal First Aid. CANCELLATION OR SELF TERMINATION If cancelling your tour booking/s a 25% cancellation fee will apply. You can transfer your booking time to another one of our sessions ONCE free of charge, additional transfers will incur a 2.5% transfer fee. Native Oz Bushfoods has the right to cancel, postpone or transfer in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of their staff and/or hosts. If a cancelation occurs, due to the hosts, Native Oz Bushfoods will provide you with a full refund. If, for any reason, a customer or visitor decides to terminate or leave their tour, before the official finish of the tour, they are not eligible for any form of refund in full or partially. Native Oz Bushfoods is not responsible for the customer or visitor once they have left the tour or property.
