Jane Austen's works are considered to be timeless pieces, and her comical novella, Lady Susan, is no exception.

This sparkling tale, presented by the Lockyer Regional Performing Arts Inc, comes to life in Rob Urbinati's delightfully witty stage adaptation, as he interweaves multiple characters, each with their own underlying motivations.

One such person is Lady Susan Vernon, a beautiful and charming recent widow, who visits her brother-in-law and his wife, Charles and Catherine Vernon, with little advance notice at their country residence.

Catherine is far from pleased, as Lady Susan had tried to prevent her marriage to Charles, and her unwanted guest has been described to her as "the most accomplished coquette in England".

Enjoy this tale of scheming, rivalry, love and friendship, as it all unfolds!

This play contains adult themes and is recommended for a mature audience.

There are four shows over three days including a Gala Dinner on the Saturday evening.

Thursday 3 July – Doors open at 6:15pm; curtain up at 7pm.

Friday 4 July – Doors open at 6:15pm; curtain up at 7pm.

Saturday 5 July – Doors open at 12:15pm; curtain up at 1pm.

Saturday 5 July - *Gala dinner* Doors open at 5:15pm; dinner served at 6pm; curtain up at approx 7pm. Show only seats available from 6:15pm for those not dining.

Bar available before the show and at interval. Refreshments may be taken into the theatre.

Raffle tickets available. Card and cash accepted.

Seating is at allocated rectangular tables. Be seated by 6pm for service to begin. The Gala Dinner includes two course alternate drop meal of roast meats and vegetables, and dessert. Tea and Coffee included.
