Description
Located within the impressive Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre at Lake Apex, Gatton, the Lockyer Valley Art Gallery is a public gallery owned and operated by the Lockyer Valley Regional Council. Purpose built in 2009, the Gallery presents an ever-changing program of new and exciting visual arts exhibitions to engage local audiences and visitors to the area.
Program of Gallery Exhibitions
The Gallery is a warm and inviting place to meet up with family and friends and share an engaging arts and cultural experience, or to go on your own and contemplate the diversity of artworks on display. While visiting the Gallery, you can also visit the Queensland Transport Museum, Library, Visitor Information Centre, or enjoy a meal at the Café.
Behind the Gallery is the picturesque Lake Apex, where you can photograph native birds and other wildlife, or explore the walking tracks which feature a variety of public art installations crafted in wood, iron and sandstone.
Lockyer Valley Art Gallery supports local artists as well as presenting touring exhibitions that feature the work of Queensland and national artists.

Directions
Travelling West along the Warrego Hwy, take the Gatton exit onto Eastern Drive. Follow Eastern Drive into town, turning left at Railway Street (second set of traffic lights). Travel approximately 1 km, turning left into Lake Apex Drive and right into the Cultural Centre carpark.
Travelling East along the Warrego Hwy, follow the Cobb & Co Trail. This will exit the Warrego Hwy at Helidon and direct you through Grantham. When entering Gatton, the Cultural Centre will be on your right hand side. Turn right onto Lake Apex Drive and right again into the carpark.
